I read somewhere that Pres. Obama was superstitious; he carries around several good-luck charms and ritually plays basketball on important days to help him relax.
I think another of his talismans is this red and white striped tie he wore last night to address Congress.
It looks like the same tie he wore during the Inauguration, election night and the DNC speech.
