Casting Call?

I’m all for unique casting, particularly in TV spots with limited time. But I’m scratching my head with Chex Mix’s odd choice of spokesman.

He’s like a cross between Malcolm Gladwell and Crispin Glover. Or Perry Farrell with a doctorate.

Nike is Driven by Mogwai

I love the song in this Nike “Driven” ad with Lance Armstrong & others. I know it well from the Scottish group Mogwai. Very surprised it hasn’t been heard more often in spots or trailers. It’s got melody, modernity, a building sense of inspiration and all that good stuff.

New BK Ad Shoves It

This Burger King billboard ad is causing all kinds of controversy. Funny thing is it’s only appearing in Singapore, which I thought was a puritanical society of sorts. Guess not. What do you think, does it go too far in its suggestiveness?
My favorite headline was from Reuters – “Burger King Blows Its Marketing Wad”
